ExtendYourHand.com Editor's Notes..

This website is my baby. All expenses to date have come out of my own family's budget. This often severely limits what help I am able to provide. For this reason, I have added a donation button on the left hand side. The goal of this site is to help others, but I can't afford to pay for all the help that is needed. All donations will go to cover the expenses of the projects which this site promotes.

Over the next few weeks, you will see several changes made to this site. Some of them will be merely cosmetic while others will be listing ways you can help me help others.

I do all the web site work myself so there are times that things just don't get done as soon as they should. This past year has been a prime example of that. Most of you don't know the reason why, but my only sister was in a battle for her life against cancer which she lost on November 9, 2002. Although I wasn't as involved with her illness as many are when their family experience this, it still took a huge toll on my ability to work.

That same weekend, our local area, Walker County, Alabama, was hit by a series of killer tornadoes which devastated homes and brought hardship on countless families. Although the cleanup is in full swing, there are always some that need more help than they can receive from insurance, agencies, and organizations. That is where friends and neighbors can join together to help.

In this globalized cyber world, our neighbors may be on the other side of the world or just down the street. Extendyourhand.com wants to help you help your neighbors where ever they may live.
